COMPENSATION POLICY

Employee Compensation Policy

1. Pay Period & Payday

  • The standard pay period begins on Saturday and ends on Friday.
  • Payday is the Friday of the following week, covering the previous pay period.

  

2. Hourly Compensation

  • Employees are paid at the at the hourly rate outlined in each job description.
  • Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable labor laws and company policy.

  

3. Deicing Truck Operation Bonus

  • Employees operating a deicing truck will receive an additional $1.00 per bag of deicer applied.
  • This bonus is added to the employee’s regular compensation and is tracked per shift.

  

4. Travel Bonus

  • Employees who travel more than 3 hours from their place of residence to the worksite are eligible for a $200 travel bonus.
  • This bonus is paid after the employee completes their first 10-hour shift at the out-of-area location.

  

5. Minimum Hours Guarantee (Out-of-State Employees)

  • Employees traveling out of state for work are guaranteed a minimum of 30 paid hours per assignment, regardless of actual hours worked.

  

6. Lodging

  • The employer  is responsible for lodging for out-of-town employees.
  • If lodging is booked directly by the employer, employees must provide their own credit card for incidentals at check-in.
  • Employees may be required to submit receipts if lodging is self-booked.

  

7. Work Conditions

  • All work is based on weather, experience, and availability.
  • Because weather conditions are unpredictable, employees must be: 
    • Available when weather is forecasted.
    • Responsive to scheduling communications.
    • Timely in reporting to assignments.
