Employee Compensation Policy
1. Pay Period & Payday
- The standard pay period begins on Saturday and ends on Friday.
- Payday is the Friday of the following week, covering the previous pay period.
2. Hourly Compensation
- Employees are paid at the at the hourly rate outlined in each job description.
- Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable labor laws and company policy.
3. Deicing Truck Operation Bonus
- Employees operating a deicing truck will receive an additional $1.00 per bag of deicer applied.
- This bonus is added to the employee’s regular compensation and is tracked per shift.
4. Travel Bonus
- Employees who travel more than 3 hours from their place of residence to the worksite are eligible for a $200 travel bonus.
- This bonus is paid after the employee completes their first 10-hour shift at the out-of-area location.
5. Minimum Hours Guarantee (Out-of-State Employees)
- Employees traveling out of state for work are guaranteed a minimum of 30 paid hours per assignment, regardless of actual hours worked.
6. Lodging
- The employer is responsible for lodging for out-of-town employees.
- If lodging is booked directly by the employer, employees must provide their own credit card for incidentals at check-in.
- Employees may be required to submit receipts if lodging is self-booked.
7. Work Conditions
- All work is based on weather, experience, and availability.
- Because weather conditions are unpredictable, employees must be:
- Available when weather is forecasted.
- Responsive to scheduling communications.
- Timely in reporting to assignments.
